Helen Shelton
- Don’t open the oven unnecessarily when cooking… and when you finish using it, leave the door open to heat your kitchen and the rooms above rather than turning on the heating.
- Use a lid that actually fits on your saucepan when boiling water. It makes the water boil faster so you don’t have to hang around, and saves energy.
- Invest in a slow-cooker…
- And cook meals in it for a whole group of people rather than have each person individually wasting tons of energy for no good reason.
- Use bamboo cooking utensils.
