Spicy Lamb Burgers In Pita

Ingredients: 
500g minced lamb
1 green chilli - finely chopped
1 clove of garlic (chopped)
1 onion - peeled and diced
3 teaspoons of garam masala
Fresh coriander - chopped (optional)
1 egg

The Burgers

Combine the chilli, onion, garlic and masala together in a large bowl.

Add the mince and egg, along with some seasoning and mix together well. Form balls out of the mixture and pat down into a burger shape with your hands. Cook under a grill on a high setting for 5-6 minutes on each side or in an oven at 190 degree (gas mark 5) for 20 minutes. 

The Salad

1 red onion- sliced into onion rings
3 tomatoes - sliced
1 carrot - grated
(Mint and yogurt sauce make a nice accompaniment for the dish- just mix a few tablespoons of yogurt with 1 ½ teaspoons of mint sauce.)
