Submission Terms & Conditions

Definitions:
"Material" shall mean any and all text, pictures, images and artistic works and material (including without limitation prose, poems, reviews, photographs and illustrations) submitted by you to The Stu Magazine.
"Editor's Desk" shall mean the email address content@thestu.co.uk or by application form via www.thestu.co.uk
"Terms" shall mean these terms and conditions.
"Publication" shall mean any publication or website under the control of Chaotic Dream Media (publishers of The Stu) or any of its group or subsidiary companies and licensees in any format and in any territory of the world.
"We", "us", or "our" shall mean Chaotic Dream Media.

1. By submitting Material to the Editor's Desk you agree to be bound by these Terms. We may make changes to the Terms at any time by posting changes online on www.thestu.co.uk/submnission-terms and you agree to be bound by the Terms currently in place on the date any Material is submitted to the Editor's Desk.

2. By submitting Material to the Editor's Desk you grant to us a perpetual exclusive royalty-free licence to publish or otherwise use the Material in any Publication.

3. You hereby represent and warrant that: 
- you are the copyright owner of the Material or you have obtained permission from or are authorised by the copyright owner of the Material to submit it to the Editor's Desk in accordance with the Terms;
- the Material is not obscene, indecent, libellous or unlawful nor does it infringe the rights of any third party; and
- you will indemnify us in respect of any claims, damages, costs or expenses we incur arising from the use by us of any Material.

4. Material will be published at our discretion and we shall not be obliged to include the Material in any Publication.

5. We may at our discretion cut, alter or edit any Material before including it in a Publication for bona fide editorial purposes.

6. Where you have provided a credit with the Material we will endeavour to ensure that the credit appears with the Material in any Publication but should we fail to do so we shall not be deemed to be in breach of the Terms. Where you have not provided a credit you warrant that no credit is required.

7. The Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
